Crane Adorable 1 Gallon Cool Mist Humidifier (Penguin Shape) #1

I got the Penguin Humidifier ,Crane Adorable 1 Gallon Cool Mist Humidifier, a week ago after researching various brands, some expensive, filter ones, big, hot ones, etc. And I read the reviews about the leak or break on this one, and that in principle there was a complaint on just about every brand out there - always a few problems. (! And the fact that it is ridiculous cute) So for a cost of $ 30 seemed to cover what I needed: something that was expensive, not too big and bulky, less is more fresh water through it (and less water sitting around getting ookey) and humidity would be where it used to add.

He has been running almost non-stop for weeks, sometimes less filling or when we were out, and it worked perfectly. The body reservoir, even when running on high, has lasted at least 16 hours. I had no problems with white dust on everything loud as my old one huge (I use tap water), and it does not spray water with so much fog. He certainly made a difference running at night in the bedroom - no noses and throats feeling 'dry as dust "in the AM. The Penguin Humidifier has a small footprint, about 9 cm in diameter and 12.75 inches high. It runs almost silently, but it does drip noise and actually sounds like our table fountain. It's a nice sound during the day but wore on me during the night, I did not use the sound and I still think it leaks when it was not. So now I run for a while before going to bed and I sleep much better all around.

Things to watch out for though ... The reservoir opening where you fill cap is a valve spring (similar to what your coffee maker basket). Must be a silicone O-ring that fits in the top of the cap. Our O-ring was in the hole, and it was clear-ish could be easily missed. In the O-ring cap can leak if not properly seated and the cap should be tightened snuggly. When filled and put right (there is even a bit of grip) is limited drip from the valve spring. Check that nothing is hidden spring-valve by pressing in (for filling) and the flap is not folded. Use cold water in the tank, and if you wait for the boiled water at room temperature before use. Using hot water can certainly cause the plastic to crackle and crack. Body should sit square on the 'butt' or it can dribble over the side a bit small.

We have absolutely no problems with this baby, and if I can I will update my work. It's a nice rocker on-off into 'left butt cheek. A dial on the front of it (I call it navel) to miss even at high volume is not depleted to adjust. The mist dial does not seem to affect the fountain noise at all, ie, less misting no it does reduce gurgling. A great little design and it does the job!

First, the Honeywell HUT-102M Quietcare Ultrasonic  Humidifier is quiet. I keep beside my bed and the noise is very weak and does not bother me at all. I use only distilled water. That's a bit pricey, but I can get one liter jugs at Wal-Mart for 64 cents, so it is better than the white matter around the room. This model is "white dust" filter, but most such filters are dubious at best.

Now the problems about this Ultrasonic Humidifier. A complete pain. If it is not empty, the water is in the database, which tend to drip and if you lift the tank for refilling spilled off. So I make the entire unit to the sink just to make sure I do not get water all over my carpet. (Water can leak if you do not love the unit level.) Moreover, the reservoir at the bottom, so you have the tank upside down to fill. The tank top is slanted so that you can set it down. You must keep the tank with one hand, and the other form. The process is very clumsy.

The last thing I must say that this is incredibly annoying blue light. It is your entire bedroom and can not be disabled. I wrap a towel around him. What were they thinking? Certainly, it is cool, until you try to sleep.

Overall, it works well and is quiet, exactly why I bought  this Ultrasonic Humidifier and I'm keeping. If you are elderly or rheumatism, the girations you need to go through filling cause you to look elsewhere.

I went looking for an affordable ultrasonic humidifier because I was tired of noisy fans and the other problems associated with evaporative machines. After a lot of research, I decided to try this one, partly because of its simplicity and partly because of pricing (i.e. not a disaster if it didn't work out). I was a little dubious about the small reservoir size, but it's not a problem at all. To keep a rather large room at ca. 35% in the dead of winter in MN (very dry subzero weather), one fill will last a bit over 24 hours, and of course longer than that in less extreme conditions. It's perfectly simple to fill and clean, and wonderfully quiet--just a steady hum that I barely notice, with occasional little glurps.
So far I've only seen a little white dust on the device itself, but not on nearby surfaces. The vapor seems to circulate best (i.e. up and out into the room) when it's placed well off the floor. On a 30" shelf, the vapor tended to flow downward, so I used a milk crate to raise it up a bit more, and that solved the problem. The only issue I've had with it so far was a fairly strong plastic/chemical smell at the beginning, but that's been diminishing with use. It's a great improvement over any of my previous humidifiers.

We use this in our Music room/ Den in an arid climate and because it has done a wonderful job of keeping my husbands' guitars in perfect shape, and as a additional bonus has helped me from getting my usual winter attack of sinusitis I'm buying another for the bedroom. Color me tickled pink!
Pros: It's quiet. It does everything you need it for. Safe cool mist (for around kids) Completely adjustable. no leaking, not a problem in a year of use. Once the room was stabilized, (all the wood was very dried out, including shelves, futon frame, and picture frames) we were able to keep it so low we only add water once a week.
Better than the others: We bought two other manufacturers offerings that leaked and were both twice the price before gladly finding this one! I am so leery of selecting ANYTHING different I am ordering another penguin.
Cons: The only slight drawback, It can make the surface under it a little damp from condensation, suggest not placing on carpet or table runner. I just use it on a hard surface now still no noise!

I bought the trip a year ago, but I find that I use at home and despite having three full-size humidifers I could use instead.

I have two full-o-Swiss Ultrasonic Humidifier size and ultrasonic Vicks house. However, the unit is so easy to use and takes up little 'space I was using at home or traveling. My other major units in the garage gathering dust but now.

Part of the beauty of this unit is how easy it is to be filled - just use one of the empty water bottles. No big heavy box to carry around the sink and I hope that does not compromise on the way back. Moreover, it is super easy to clean because it is so small. just brush the little room where the film ultrasonic and comes with a small brush for cleaning. Humidifiers are so many great nooks and crannies, is a real pain to keep clean. Even those with the silver ion, which retards the growth of microbes probably still get gross.

Has Astounded Me! Germ Guardian H-3010 Ultrasonic Humidifier

After getting much searching on Amazon to find the perfect Humidifier for dealing with the dry Colorado winters, I found myself still undecided and exasperated. repeatedly complained about the unit to perform poorly and lose such a large number of units fueled my suspicions. It seemed that the ratio of good to bad reviews more than most other products I could find.

However, I happened to come across this unit at my local warehouse club and a good price on a whim I decided to buy Germ Guardian H-3010 Ultra-Sonic Humidifier. It 'nice that this unit comes with a water filter, but of course the guide should be filled with distilled water instead of tap water. As I breathe, the water I put in the humidifier, I have my tank full of water, which are passed through a Brita filter into a jug of water. However, doing something that is in pain, why does it take to fill a series of tank launchers. I'm going to order a tap water so I fill the tank to think fast.
